Welcome to Collective Conversations
Welcome to Collective Conversations with La Femme Noire Collective, Inc. This blog was created to help further our purpose of maximizing awareness and promoting mental healing in women of color.

About La Femme Noire Collective, Inc.
The concept of La Femme Noire Collective, Inc. was created on May 12, 2022 by the organization's Visionary Founder, Tracey C. Seabrook. It was Tracey's vision to create an organization specifically for women of color, to come together for the purpose of enhancing their overall mental wellness. With the support of her best friend and Co-Founder, Genika Chery-Jones, the Bylaws were created and the organization was incorporated in the state of Florida on June 1, 2022.
It is the goal of La Femme Noire Collective, Inc. to provide a social space for women of color to be free to be unapologetically themselves and to learn how to recognize when they need to reset, identify preventative and proactive strategies for protecting and preserving their mental health, normalize and encourage going to therapy (while highlighting mental health professionals of color), and teach coping skills. Additionally, La Femme Noire Collective, Inc. will serve as a social and emotional support group for its members.
As a newly formed organization, we are currently accepting all inquires for membership. We only ask that prospective members be a person who identifies as a woman (or an ally of women's mental health), who is at least 18 years of age, and committed to improving their mental health, advocating for the de-stigmatization of mental illness, and promoting mental health and wellness supports for women of color. As a nonprofit organization, La Femme Noire Collective, Inc. does not deny membership on the basis of race, gender, religion, educational or socio-economic background. However, this organization aims to prioritize the mental health of women of color.
